- The hyenas represent the three murderers.Scar hires the hyenas to kill Mufasa and his son Simba. They fail to kill Simba, but do strike fear in him and scare him away.
- Mufasa relates to Duncan. He was a great king, he was fair and just and the pride admired him.He was murdered by his own brother, Scar, became jealous and power hungry.
- Simba represents Malcom. After Mufasa was killed Simba fled in fear of his own life.He feels his fathers death was his fault and stays away from the pride out of shame.Simba invinsions Mufasa one night in the stars and returns to the pride the next day to kill his uncle Scar and make everything right again.
- Rafiki(the baboon)represents the three witches.Throughtout the whole story Rafiki is all-knowing.He is the one who helps Simba find the courage to return to the pride and kill Scar.He is also believed to be the one to have summoned Mufasa out of the stars.Rafiki also speaks in riddles and rhymes like the three witches.
- Macbeth and Beowulf are the main characters of two famous stories. They had similarities and their differences.Although written in different time periods, they compare and contrast nicely.
- Macbeth had a bigger ego problem than Beowulf.Selfish attitudes got in the way of both of them.
- The similarities between the two of them are more than meets the eye. They both had a sense of smugness upon them, like they could never be brought down.
- They were both wrong. They had no sense of remorse when the war begun. They also considered themselves heros and not villains.
- Contrasting wise,Macbeth had a conscience at the beginnig. He also relied on sneaky ways, the witches and help from others. But,when war came for him,no matter how many,he knew he would win.He became cocky(arrogant)easily and Beowulf already had that imbedded in him.Beowulf seemed strong, but his insides were the opposite.
- In conclusion,Macbeth used his strengths he discovered with help, and played everyone. He acted innocent, when Beowulf wore his heart on his sleeve.Macbeth hid well, but Beowulf took it on his shoulders. It takes a person,as a whole to be truly egoistical and impermeable.
